A key highlight of our recent activities was the launch of the first-ever Private Lounge for High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNI) in Sierra Leone. This exclusive space, located at our Head Office—9 & 11 Lightfoot Boston Street, Freetown—is designed to provide premium banking services with enhanced comfort and privacy. It reflects our dedication to elevating customer experience and delivering world-class financial solutions. The Deputy Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone officially inaugurated the lounge, recognizing it as a significant milestone in the country’s banking sector.
Further underscoring our customer-centric approach, we hosted a highly anticipated Customer Forum at Lagoonda, Aberdeen, Freetown, under the theme “Stronger Together: Celebrating Growth, Banking the Future”, attended by government officials, industry leaders, and key stakeholders. The event served as a platform to engage customers, reaffirm our commitment to financial empowerment, and strengthen client relationships.
At the forum, Country Managing Director Ganiyu Sanni highlighted our journey since establishing a presence in Sierra Leone in 2007. He emphasized our expansion across key commercial regions, including Freetown, Bo, Lungi, Makeni, and Kenema, with nine branches serving diverse customer needs. He also outlined our strategic vision for 2027, reinforcing our focus on sustainable banking, technological advancement, and financial inclusion.

The event concluded with remarks from key stakeholders, including the Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone, who commended Access Bank (SL) Limited for our continued contributions to the country’s financial sector. Guests also had the opportunity to network, further strengthening relationships between the Bank and its valued customers.
To continue reinforcing our commitment to customer empowerment and financial transformation, Oluseyi Kumapayi, Executive Director of African Subsidiaries at Access Bank Plc, along with Barbara Ezeife, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications for African Subsidiaries, Adesuwa Asemota, Head of Finance for African Subsidiaries, visited Sierra Leone.
During their visit, the delegation stopped by our Head Office in Freetown, where Mr. Kumapayi engaged with employees and emphasized our five key pillars: Sustainable Operations, Development Finance, Social Investment, Technology, and Compliance.
He also held strategic discussions with the Governor and senior officials of the Bank of Sierra Leone, joined by our Managing Director, Ganiyu Sanni.
